Dr. Bryan Jarrett is a 4th year Emergency Medicine Resident in Brooklyn, NY at SUNY Downstate/Kings County hospital.
Originally from Virginia, Bryan went on to study Material Science Engineering at Cornell University and completed his Medical Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014. He has also been involved in wilderness medicine since taking the Wilderness Medicine Society elective as a medical student.
Outside of the hospital Bryan has an impressive background in endurance athletics, as a NCAA D1 collegiate cross country and track runner, followed by racing triathlons ultimately qualifying for the Half Ironman World Championships in 2010. He has since become an avid climber, with experience in multi-pitch, traditional, ice, and alpine routes. Bryan also loves international travel and look forward to being able to combine his professional and personal interests through being on the medical team to undertake the Medical Research at his first 4 Deserts / RacingThePlanet race in the Sahara Race (Namibia) 2018.
