Bev Brammer is a retired nutritionist from Manchester, UK who got bored being retired so now works part time in Customer Services for a large retail company. She followed the exploits of her husband Tony through his 4 Deserts campaign as a competitor and then experienced life in the desert for herself as a volunteer in the Atacama Crossing (Chile) back in 2010. That was the start of a love for early morning starts & roughing it!
Since then she has volunteered in the Annapurna mountains at RacingThePlanet: Nepal 2011, the Sahara Race (Egypt) 2012, RacingThePlanet: Iceland 2013, RacingThePlanet: Madagascar 2014, RacingThePlanet: Ecuador 2015, Atacama Crossing (Chile) 2015, Sahara Race (Namibia) 2016, Atacama Crossing (Chile) 2016, Sahara Race (Namibia) 2017 and more recently again at RacingThePlanet: Patagonia 2017 and the Sahara Race (Namibia) 2018.
Bev is not a novice to sporting achievements herself having climbed Ben Nevis, trekked 60 miles along the Great Wall of China and completed half and full marathons. She enjoys the gym, spin classes & hiking in the great outdoors.
We welcome Bev back to her thirteenth 4 Deserts / RacingThePlanet Race as a volunteer. She is the ideal person to encourage and motivate competitors to reach their goals at the Gobi March (Mongolia) 2018.
