Dolfen Ismail is part of the 4 Deserts family! He has volunteered at more than ten(!) 4 Deserts and RacingThePlanet races since 2010 when he came to his first race at the Sahara Race (Egypt). He has also been a volunteer at the 2011 and 2012 editions of the Sahara Race (Egypt) as well the Sahara Race (Jordan) 2014, the Sahara Race (Namibia) 2016 and 2017, the Atacama Crossing (Chile) 2013, RacingThePlanet: Jordan 2012, Madagascar 2014 and Ecuador 2015. Clearly a passionate traveler, Dolfen is also the founder and owner of his own Ecotourism business in Egypt named “ECO”. Going through the Masters degree of “Cultural Heritage Management” in UFE was a life-changing experience for Dolfen, it inspired his own business in Ecotourism where he is really living his passion. Before starting his current business, Ahmed enjoyed a diversified career, from being an architect for 2 years, then studying and working in computer science, facilitation, training & development, and finally 8 years of marketing & strategies with Vodafone Egypt!
When he isn't working on his business (or at a 4 Deserts Race) he spends time volunteering with national & international organizations like: CARE and Characters Of Egypt, and exploring the more non-traditional and unexplored parts of his home country, Egypt. This includes hiking in the mountains and valleys, off-roading through the famous Sahara Desert and diving in the Red and Mediterranean Seas.
