ABOUT ECUADOR

Ecuador is located in the northwest of South America lying on the equator (Ecuador translates as “Republic of the Equator”) between Colombia, Peru and the Pacific Ocean. With a land mass of about 300,000 square kilometers / 176,000 square miles (about the size of the State of Nevada) it is the fourth smallest country in South America. Despite its size, it is still home to three unique eco-systems, an ancient Inca culture and the Galápagos Islands.
