Stage 4

29th November 2012 03:08 AM[(GMT+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi]

Hi Everyone

Stage 3 is done! A lot of elevation and deep snow on our racing route. Last night we stayed on shore in bivy bags on the ice in Antarctica. I learned that Penguins chat all night, as we were sleeping beside a large colony. Today we are in a snow storm, so the ship is trying manuvere out of it to a sheltered spot so we can continue the race.
Relaxing and waiting for the new new of what the day is going to bring. This is the last day of the race and most of the runners are anxious to get started. I am feeling very strong and ready for the day. I have been reading your notes of encouragement, thankyou so very much. It really means a lot to have friends and family thinking about you and sending you good wishes I am also sending information to the Trekking for Kids site as well.

thank you so much for your support and I will write again after the finish of the race.

Stage 3

28th November 2012 05:58 AM[(GMT+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi]

Good Moring Friends and Family

Today we will start Stage 3 from Nikko Island. Stage 1 and 2 went well, inspite of the high winds, bitter cold, deep snow and traversing many mountains. I am pleased to say that I am feeling strong with very few injuries at this point.

The only discomforts I have at this time are a sore knee, sore foot, and wind burn. The scenery is spectacular. Yesterday we saw thousands of penguins on the run, sometimes they were on the course, and we must give way to their march.

And today we saw several pods of Orca Whales, babies, and adults. Not sure what our experience will be for today but when I can I will send a note and share the day.
thank you everyone for your kinds words of support
