The 4 Deserts Race Series and competitors have raised over half a million US dollars for Operation Smile Missions.
The 4 Deserts Race Series and competitors have donated more than US$550,000 to Operation Smile missions since 2005. This money has been used for specific missions in Egypt, Vietnam, Namibia and China as well as contributions towards other missions that have taken place, primarily in China.
It costs just US$240 to operate on a child with a cleft lip or palate which means that we have been able to change the lives of more 2,000 children. This money has also been used to train doctors in the hospitals where missions take place to continue to screen and operate on cleft lips and palates.
