Profession:

CEO, ISS Facility Services Ltd - Hong Kong

What are your goals for the RacingThePlanet: Namibia 2009:

To finish, in good shape....

Why are you competing in the RacingThePlanet: Namibia 2009:

Because it is a romantic, extreme, challenge to
safari, on foot, across 250 km of solitary, but
fabulously beautiful ,asture , canyons and
desert, in a race of marathons held over six
days. Not at all sensible at my age, that's the
beauty of it ...

How did you hear about the RacingThePlanet: Namibia 2009:

Enthused previous participants and since then, from TIME magazine and other publicatons.

Brief Bio/CV
(Professional/Academic):

Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with a full hand of degrees who has spend most of his career as professional manager. A Brit but with three decades of living/working in Hong Kong. Should by now, be into an 'alternate lifestyle' of permanent relaxation but finds it hard to say 'no' to a new role/opportunity or to move on.

Previous Races:

No prior form - how ridulous is this, 'at my age, in my condition' .... that being the general consensus from the supportive people in my life. That also, is part of the beauty of it - for once, out of stereotype ....

Charity Information:

Foundation Theodora - www.theodora.org - who provide 'Clown Doctors' into the hospital wards of sick children to bring laughter back into their lives and smiles onto their faces.
