RacingThePlanet: Jordan 2012 Blogs

Stage 2
14-May-2012 07:07:05 AM [(GMT-07:00) Mountain Time(US & Canada)]

Hello everyone,  Thank you for all the messages!  I is such a highlight to read the messages after a long day of running.

Another hot day today, about the same distance as yesterday, just under 40 km.  We had a little cloud cover for part of the morning, which was a welcome relief, but I was a tough day of lots of loose sand and some long uphills.  Again the scenery is stunning and I’m feeling pretty good.

I have my first blister.   I have it all bandaged up so hopefully it does’t cause me more problems.  Also have a little chafing and sore shoulders from the pack and have a little sunburn.  I know, I sound a mess, but I feel pretty good!

Manny, thanks for the mother’s day wishesJ  I miss you and hope everything is going okay.

Mike, I brewed a double strength coffee this morning…it made my day!!  Lots of hugs and see you in a few weeks.

Ann, pass on my message to mom.  Tell her I’m surviving

Keep the messages coming!  Tomorrow will be more of the same!

Love to all!

Mary

Hey Mary! Sorry to hear about the blister, your legendary healthy feet are such an inspiration, guess the sand had other plans for them! It\\\'s great to read your blog & get the updates, I am thinking if you lots! Different kind of \\\"baby ultra\\\" going on in my world :) Juniper and I managed to walk about 5k in mill creek with Erin Pollock & Guiness - most exercise I\\\'ve had since giving birth! So with that perspective, we think you\\\'re even more amazing than usual :) keep smiling, or as my best friends dad always said \\\"don\\\'t worry, be happy!!\\\"

Hi Mary!! We're just taking over the place while you're gone! Lol! Murray hacked your computer so that we could send you a message of encouragement. Despite your blister, sun-burn and "rug burn" you are soldiering on! Cathy Murray and I are behind you 100%. Hang in there! Oh yeah, then there's another blonde woman who I don't know who just threw her arms up and said, "How could she run that far!!??!!" Anyway we're all rooting for your successful finish in approx. 60th place :) xox from all of us here! We're living vicariously through your brave adventures! From the boring people here at the Mis. Colleen xo

My success is defined by seeing individuals make lifestyle changes that ultimately make them stronger, healthier people.

see an amazing part of the world, meet amazing
people from all over the world and take part in an
amazing experience.
