RacingThePlanet: Ecuador 2015 Blogs

Finished!
03-Aug-2015 02:58:49 AM [(GMT+08:00) Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi]

Sorry this has taken a few days but 250km across the Andes is done! Stage 5 was long but got through it. Knee gave up after that so it was a slow 10km on the last day to the finish but what a feeling crossing the line to know it was job done. There were some technical problems so the stage 5 update didn’t post..62km over 10+ hours proved solid. Stan and I ran together again and he was fantastic as ever. Descending 3000m over the course of the day was tough but fun to start in the cold at 3800m and end up at 800m in the tropical humid jungle.

Now we are sat in Miami about to have breakfast it all seems a long way away! What an experience…seeing incredible scenery, meeting amazing people and making great friends. We both loved it and are looking forward to a week of recharging the batteries.

Ben
Energy: 8/10 with a week to get to 10
Feet/Knee: Feet are returning to human after a few days to recover. Knee is creaking and refusing to move very fast.
Unusual incident: Less unusual more perfect - crossing the finishing line and being met by Dilpa with a cold beer in hand :)

Dilpa
Energy: 3/10 less tired more relaxed now :)
Adapting to outdoor life: Pleased to be in a room with shower, bed and mini bar but…could potentially possibly maybe be persuaded to do it again!

Thank you for your post, There are good post! Developed the Common Rail fuel system for heavy duty vehicles and turned it into practical use on their ECD-U2 common-rail system.Modern common rail systems, whilst working on the same principle sensor are governed by an engine control unit (ECU). The design was acquired by the German Common Rail Shim & Gasket kit companyRobert Bosch GmbH for completion of development and refinement for mass-production Common Rail Nozzle . In hindsight,As the new technology proved to be highly profitable. The Common Rail Injector Valve had little choice but to sell, however,In 1997 they extended its use for passenger cars Common Rail Injector .The first passenger car that used the common rail system.
