Here I am 9 months out from my first stage race. And it's a 'doozie'. I have a number of Ironmans, 50k and 50 mile races under my belt but the last few years have been pretty minimal as far as training for and competing in races. I've spent more of my time running casually, ice climbing, back country and cross country skiing and hiking in the mountains where I live. I am excited and scared. But, I am feeling the old motivation coming back. My husband and I are coming to the race together. Our way to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. Many might think this is odd, but it is fitting for us and we have never travelled the 'typical' path. I like that about us. I'm looking forward to learning everyone's stories and creating more together as we tackle this challenge. Cheers.
