ABOUT Madagascar

Madagascar is located in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of Africa, just south of the equator. Over 1,580 kilometers / 1,000 miles long and 570 kilometers / 350 miles wide, Madagascar is the world’s fourth largest island. The island’s vast forests, crystalline lakes, huge caverns and savannas, as well as grassland, deserts, mountains, rain forests and rivers provide a home for an array of exotic animals and vegetation.
